    1. (YA) Now, normally 5 starts means near perfection-life changing, rantable, and maybe this wasn't quite that but, for how I felt when I was reading it, it warrants top marks. I really enjoyed this book. It moved at a good pace, and never dragged. I loved the snippets of Irish folklore (could have been more!), but mainly I loved the Icelandic setting, references to Sigur Ros, the geography, even the horses.     2. I enjoyed the story, a young woman and her brother displaced when her father dies and her mother disappears into emotional illness. The budding romance is sweet, the mystery/suspense well done. I did have some problems with the portrayal of Iceland and Icelandic culture.My cousins live in Iceland as do most of my mother's extended family, and my experience visiting them was a little different.
