    1. Fatal Obsession is the second book in the Widow’s Web series. The book begins with a marvelous opening line, “Sophie Kendrick tensed as her husband froze in mid-cut, the serrated steak knife still in the meat as blood red juices pooled” This line sets the tone for the whole book, a story of love, betrayal, medical mystery and the search for a touchstone.Sophie is married to Blake, a highly regarded medical researcher who works at Biomedical Research Center, Inc. He believes he has found a [...]

    2. After years of living warily as a foster child, Sophie thinks she has finally found love and a family. Then her husband turns into someone she doesn't recognize, and her life spins out of control. Sophie finds herself on the run to protect her unborn baby. She can't do it alone, but after a lifetime of not trusting anyone, who can she trust?

    3. Great read! The pacing was fun and fast. The writing was detailed enough to engage you in the story, and the diversity of characters gave it a more realistic edge. I enjoyed how the story played out, particularly given that this genre isn't one that I normally read. Additional props for the Star Trek reference. :)

    4. Loved this book from the very beginning. A husband uses his unborn child as a guinea pig for research. The pregnant wife goes on the run to keep her baby safe from those trying to use her.Very fast paced.
