    1. While I don't enjoy reading this book out loud to my kids, they spend hours looking through it. This was my second time through it with Sonlight Core A.

    2. My son and daughter devoured this book at the ages of 7 and 5. They wanted to read and re-read it several times. This book worked perfectly as beginner and introductory world history.

    3. This is one of my favorite Usborne books from my childhood. Well, we actually had it as individual books, and only of the first three sections, so I was even more excited to see a version where they're all together. I don't know whether this was ever used in my schooling or not -- it probably was, but what I remember most is finding it/them on the bookshelf and going back to it over and over again, looking at interesting tidbits. I loved learning all the interesting little facts it had to offer. It was one of my favourites when I was a child.

    5. Enjoyed reading this to the kids. They enjoyed the pictures and talking through different aspects of culture in the past. I recommend this for basic information on different time periods and cultures.

    6. Great book loaded with intricate colorful illustrations and interesting details about everyday life through the ages, including clothes and fashion, homes and houses, food and eating, and travel and transport.

    7. I liked this book because it told me a lot about what I didn't know about people long ago this book was read to me by mom

    8. This is a good supplemental history book. It helps show to young children that history happened to real people.

    9. Another great Usborne book. So much detail on each page. Enjoyable illustrations for the kids. A great look at history.

    10. I read this one to my daughter for her Kindergarden year, and she seemed to enjoy it. Nice to read just a few pages at a time.
